Give Back to Our Community

Giving Back

AGC Georgia has a long history of giving back to the community whether it is volunteering time to worthy organizations, raising monies, connecting with young people who want to learn about careers in construction, or donating food, toys, building materials and construction know-how.

These efforts are primarily led by participants in the association’s Young Leadership Program (YLP) and industry professionals who are actively engaged with the AGC Georgia Skills Challenge series, trade competitions for high school students.

The AGC of Georgia Foundation, Inc., established in 2013 as a 501(c)(3), helps individuals and companies make tax-deductible contributions that strengthen communities and grow the construction industry. Our mission is twofold: (1) give back through impactful charitable initiatives, and (2) invest in education to develop the next generation of construction leaders.

From scholarships and university program support to mentoring students, donating materials, and hosting jobsite field trips, our members lead by example. Together, we’re creating opportunities that inspire curiosity, build skills, and shape rewarding careers in construction.

High School Construction Education through Charitable Giving

A core focus of AGC Georgia’s charitable mission is supporting workforce development. It’s a cause our members proudly stand behind. With more than 200 K–12 construction programs across Georgia, many schools need help securing industry-grade tools, materials, PPE, and funding for field trips and competition travel. Through the AGC Georgia Foundation, we raise funds to ensure students and teachers have the resources they need for safe, hands-on learning.

Each year, AGC Georgia partners with dozens of contractor members to host eight regional Skills Challenge competitions, offering high school students the chance to demonstrate their skills and connect with industry leaders. Donations to the Foundation through these events are shared with participating classrooms—helping educators deliver impactful, real-world construction training.

Supporting these efforts isn’t just giving back—it’s investing in the future of our workforce.

Young Leadership Program Chartiable Works

With decades of proven involvement in communities across Georgia, YLP has contributed over $1,000,000 since the inception of their Charitable Works Fund in the late 1990s.

The group of young professionals raises money with their annual Golf Classic and a Sporting Clays Tournament.

The AGC Georgia Foundation, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) entity, manages the donations that are used to support programs such as Hillside, Toys for Tots, Wreaths Across America, programs benefiting foster children, community improvement projects such as playgrounds at local schools, and much more!
