The Georgia legislature established the State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors in 2004. AGC Georgia worked with the Secretary of State’s office and many other key stakeholders for the next four years. Licensure was implemented in 2008 with Georgia began enforcing standards and licensing requirements.
Dozens of AGC Georgia members have served on the licensing board since its inception with 100% of the inaugral board members being association members.
Our Senior Director of Govermental Affairs, Mark Woodall, was intimately involved during the height of the development of the laws and regulations and remains connected to Licensing Board leadership. AGC Georgia is a trusted authority on our state’s contractor licensing requirements.
