Scott Clark

Chief Executive Officer
RW Allen Construction

On Saturday, June 6, 2026, AGC Georgia will honor Scott Clark, Chief Executive Officer of RW Allen Construction, with the Skill, Integrity and Responsibility (SIR) Award during the Closing Dinner of the 2026 Annual Convention at the Hilton Sandestin Resort.

Scott began his career with RW Allen Construction after graduating from Auburn University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Building Sciences. During more than 40 years with the firm, he served in a variety of roles, including project management, estimating, business development and executive leadership.

Over the past 18 years, Scott has focused on building a leadership pipeline that ensures the long-term continuity of RW Allen. By creating opportunities for talented team members to grow into leadership roles, the company has strengthened the culture and values that have defined its success for the past 50 years and positioned the organization for generations of leadership to come.

Scott has been deeply involved with AGC Georgia throughout his career. He is currently in his 14th year of service on the association’s Board of Directors and served as Board President during the 2017-2018 term. Since 2022 he has also served as an Elected Governor with AGC of America’s Board of Governors and will continue in that role through 2033. During his service, he has also been a Director with the AGC Georgia Political Action Committee and has always been a vocal supporter of the AGC of America Political Action Committee.

A defining passion for Scott is empowering others to strengthen and advance the construction industry. During his tenure as Board President, he worked with a committee of rising industry executives who shared an interest in creating what would become AGC Georgia’s Executive Alliance. The program began accepting applicants in January 2018. Now in its 9th year, nearly 100 C-suite executives benefit from this powerful peer network and engage in high level professional development focused on talent development, financial and legal best practices, succession planning, risk management, good stewardship of technology and other critical topics that help leaders remain competitive in an evolving construction marketplace.

Scott has also been a strong supporter of AGC Georgia’s Leadership Academy and Young Leadership Program. However, the initiative most closely associated with his leadership is the AGC Georgia Skills Challenge Series. This fall, Scott and an extensive team of dedicated industry professionals from across East Georgia will partner with AGC Georgia to host the 13th Annual East Georgia Skills Challenge. Scott’s vision of connecting with local construction related high school instructors and creating a friendly competition that introduces students to industry opportunities helped spark the growth of what is now a statewide series of eight regional Skills Challenge events. Over the years, Scott’s regional event has contributed a portion of its fundraising back to local classrooms totaling more than $200,000 dollars.

Beyond his industry involvement, Scott serves on the Georgia Southern University Construction Management Advisory Board, the Synovus Augusta Financial Advisory Board, Helms College’s Workforce Development Advisory Board and is an active member of the Exchange Club of Augusta.

Scott and his wife, Jennifer, have two adult children, Win and Kate. When Scott is not serving the team at RW Allen Construction he spends his free time enjoying lake life, golf and family time.

Doug and his wife Caroline have five adult children and two grandchildren. As Doug is transitioning the leadership of New South to the next generation of leaders within the company, he and Caroline spend much of their free time at his family farm raising cattle, traveling and golfing.
